Bolt pricing explained

From Bolt's official pricing page and docs, each checked Nov 3, 2026. Not hands-on testing. Full Bolt review.

What uses credits

  • AI messages use tokens. Editing in Code view does not. Source
  • Free: 1M tokens a month, up to 300K a day. Pro starts at 10M tokens a month with no daily limit. Source
  • On Teams, each member has their own tokens, and free members cannot prompt. Source

Where to see your usage

  • Your token balance is under your profile, then My Subscription. Source

How to cap spend

  • There is no automatic overage: you buy more tokens yourself. Reloads are only on the highest monthly Pro tier or any annual Pro plan, and the price varies. Source
  • We found no separate spend-limit setting on Bolt's pricing page or help center. Source

What the plan price does not cover

  • Free tokens reset on the 1st of the month and do not roll over. Paid tokens reset on your renewal date and roll over for up to 2 months while you stay subscribed. Source
  • Free hosting shows Bolt branding and allows up to 333k web requests; Pro allows up to 1M. Source
  • Upgrades apply right away; downgrades apply at the next billing date. Source
