What we collect

You can browse Use Which Tool without giving us anything. If you sign up for the newsletter, we store:

• Your email address, so we can send the newsletter.
• Your confirmation status: whether you clicked the confirmation link (we use double opt-in) or unsubscribed.
• Where your signup came from: the campaign tags in the link you first arrived on (utm_source, utm_medium, utm_campaign), the domain of the site that sent you (for example linkedin.com, never the full address), and the page you landed on. This is kept in your browser's session storage until you sign up or close the tab. We don't use cookies for this.

Analytics

We use Vercel Web Analytics to count page views. It doesn't use cookies and reports aggregate numbers (pages, referring sites, countries, device types), not individual visitor profiles.

Who processes your data

• Resend stores newsletter contacts and sends our emails.
• Vercel hosts the site and provides the analytics above.

They process data on our behalf to run the service. We don't use open or click tracking in our emails.

What we don't do

We don't sell, rent or trade your data, and we don't share it with advertisers.

Unsubscribe and deletion

Every email has a one-click unsubscribe link. To have your email and signup details deleted entirely, reply to any newsletter email or write to us at the address below, and we'll delete them.
