Pricing explained

v0 pricing explained

v0 charges in credits worth dollars. Each message spends credits based on the model and the number of tokens in and out.

From v0's official pricing page and docs, each checked Nov 3, 2026. Not hands-on testing. Full v0 review.

What uses credits

  • Every message uses tokens, and tokens are priced per model. Per 1M tokens: v0 Mini $0.20 input and $1.20 output; v0 Pro $2 and $10; v0 Max $5 and $25; v0 Max Fast $10 and $50. Source
  • Cache writes and cache reads are priced separately (for v0 Pro, $2.50 and $0.20 per 1M tokens). Source
  • Longer prompts and longer answers use more tokens, so they cost more. Source
  • Included plan credits are used first, then any credits you bought. Source

Where to see your usage

  • The Usage page in your v0 dashboard shows credit use grouped by project or chat. On eligible team plans, owners and Billing members can see team-wide use by member or project. Source
  • The Billing page shows your plan, credit balances and their expiry dates, and invoices. Source
  • Hover a model in the model picker to see its cost. Source

How to cap spend

  • Credits are prepaid. When they run out, generation pauses until you add more. Source
  • Paid plans can buy more credits at any time. Free users must upgrade instead. Source
  • We found no separate monthly spend-limit setting on v0's pricing page or docs. Source

What the plan price does not cover

  • v0 is not part of Vercel plans; it is billed on its own. Source
  • Prices exclude taxes. Source
  • Purchased credits expire one year after purchase and need an active paid plan to use. Source
  • No refunds, and no PayPal. Source
